Desde sus cimientos en Boston hasta el corazón del Caribe

Desde su fundación en 1895 en Boston por el Ing. Frederic W. Lord, la empresa –inicialmente conocida como Lord Electric Company– se consolidó como pionera en la electrificación de infraestructuras en el noreste de Estados Unidos. Durante sus primeros años, impulsó la modernización urbana mediante la instalación de redes eléctricas y sistemas de transmisión en zonas metropolitanas. En 1959, la compañía expandió sus operaciones a Puerto Rico, adaptándose al desarrollo económico y social de la isla. Allí, se destacó en proyectos emblemáticos como la construcción del Observatorio de Arecibo, la modernización del transporte urbano con el Tren Urbano y obras en sectores industriales, energéticos, de salud y telecomunicaciones. From its foundations in Boston to the heart of the Caribbean

Founded in 1895 in Boston by Engineer Frederic W. Lord, the company—originally known as Lord Electric Company—established itself as a pioneer in electrifying infrastructures in the Northeastern United States. In its early years, it drove urban modernization by installing electrical networks and transmission systems in rapidly growing metropolitan areas. In 1959, the company expanded its operations to Puerto Rico, adapting to the island’s economic and social development. There, it distinguished itself through emblematic projects such as the construction of the Arecibo Observatory, the modernization of public transportation with Tren Urbano, and key contributions to the industrial, energy, healthcare, and telecommunications sectors.
